To Lead a Better Life
-
Keep track of the daily abundances in your life.
-
Keep track of what you do each day to take care of yourself.
-
Keep track of what you do each day to take care of others.
-
Keep track of what you do each day to take care of the world we live in: our own property, our neighborhood, our community, our country, the earth.
-
Develop a spiritual practice.
-
Call at least one friend weekly.
-
Learn a new sport every decade.
-
Set a regular time for one-on-one’s with your children, no matter how old they are.
-
Set daily goals that have nothing to do with your work.
-
Go out to lunch or coffee with a friend who is not a workmate.
-
Cultivate a garden, no matter how small.
-
Thank God (or someone or something) for the blessings of each day.
-
Strive to be more positive with everyone.
-
Give yourself a break.
-
Plan some solitude. Maybe go away by yourself one weekend a year.
-
Do something you’re afraid of doing.
-
Make a fanciful list.
-
Read biographies of people you admire…and not just the great ones.
-
Watch sunrises and sunsets and notice the difference.
-
Spend a few minutes a day writing whatever comes into your mind without editing it.
I will be publishing more of these next week, please add your suggestions
