Over a 25 year span, my Leaders Connect Program has grown significantly. From a humble start of 10 leaders sitting around a table talking about the challenges of leadership, the program has expanded. Now, Leaders Connect Ann Arbor offers a breakfast which regularly sells out with over 100 leaders attending a networking/leadership/learning event at Zingerman’s Roadhouse. Leaders Connect Ann Arbor would not be possible without my sponsors: Zingermans, Bank of Ann Arbor, Rehmann, and Office Evolution.
- This week on Friday we once again will be celebrating Martin Luther King Day by organizing a panel of distinguished business owners who will talk about the challenges and joys of leading a company as a woman or minority owner. If you have not signed up yet and are interested in attending, please go to https://www.eventbrite.com/e/leaders-connect-breakfast-leadership-in-women-minority-owned-businesses-tickets-88108925167. Next month our speaker will be Austin Hatch.
- We continue to offer peer support groups which meet on a monthly basis. If you are interested, please email me at rob@robpasick.com.
Now Leaders Connect is offering new programming which I am happy to announce:
- Leaders Connect Detroit is a quarterly version of Leaders Connect Ann Arbor. On February 25th at TechTown we will host Dr. Wayne Baker who will be talking about his brand new book “All You Have To Do Is Ask”. The cost of the program is $35 which will include food and a copy of Wayne’s book. I’m thankful to Michael Cole, Bank of Ann Arbor, and Michael Dergis at “Sigrid Solutions” for taking a significant leadership role in planning and supporting Leaders Connect Detroit. If you are interested in attending, here is the link to sign up https://www.eventbrite.com/e/leaders-connect-detroit-dr-wayne-baker-all-you-have-to-do-is-ask-tickets-88679509801
- Additionally, on February 26th in Ann Arbor Steve Angerman and I will be offering a workshop on “Finding Your Career Sweet Spot”. In my class on interpersonal relationships at Ross, this “sweet spot” excercise has been the most popular activity. The people who attended this workshop last year all gave it a 5 out of 5 excellent rating. It is designed for anyone who is trying to find their next step in their career path. It is appropriate for young people starting out their career or mid career people who are considering a change. Thank you all for your continued support for Leaders Connect. If you have any ideas for other programs or for feedback, please feel free to contact me.
